Belize Celebrates 6th Annual World GIS Day 2017

Belize joined scores of countries across the world in celebrating World GIS Day, a highlight of the internationally recognized GIS Week. Total Business Solutions Limited (TBSL), the local distributor for Esri Inc. (the world’s leading GIS company) with support from sponsors, exhibitors, schools and students, hosted the 6th Annual World GIS Day Expo at the Princess Ramada Hotel on Wednesday November 15, 2017 from 9:30am-1pm.

Keynote Speaker – Dr. Neulin Villaneva

Dr. Villanueva holds the post of Deputy Chief Education Officer, in the Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports and Culture since 2015. She is responsible for the supervision of the Ministry’s central service areas which includes policy, planning, research and evaluation, support services, teacher education, curriculum development and assessment, technical training and tertiary education.
